The search algorithm uses a public database and also it performs taxonomies of more than 10 different permutations to find and verify an email, if email is not found it means that we can not find any public email and after more than 10 different verifications we can’t find a valid email, when email is catch-all we give a confidence score based on patterns

It may happen, but it depends on the email status, when email is correct, never is a guess, it is verified, when email is catch-all we use different patterns to give more or less confidence but sometimes are guesses with low confidence, when email is not found mean we try our best but there is no valid email beyond this person
